One Florida woman has turned her love for mopping, dusting and vacuuming into a good deed.
NBC sat down with Heather Russo who is taking her small cleaning business to the next level... by helping women with cancer. Russo's company Lakeland Cleaning Co. has partnered with the non-profit organization Cleaning for a Reason, which coordinates maids and household services to clean the homes of women with the illness. According to Russo, those who have been diagnosed with cancer receive a service once a month for four months, free of charge. ?I want to make a difference in a woman?s life who?s battling,? Russo told NBC. ?And not have [her] worry about cleaning.?
Russo only uses natural cleaning products from Aromatherapy Naturals. According to Cleaning for a Reason's website, the organization has helped over 12,000 women with cancer.
